Gordy Quist
Gordy is a talented singer-songwriter and a founding member of the acclaimed Americana band, The Band of Heathens. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Gordy developed a passion for music at an early age. He pursued his education at Dartmouth College, where he earned a degree in economics, but his heart was always set on a career in music[1].
In 2004, Gordy moved to Austin, Texas, to immerse himself in the city's vibrant music scene. It was here that he met fellow musicians Colin Brooks and Ed Jurdi. The trio began sharing the stage at Momo's, a popular Austin club, where they performed their individual sets before eventually collaborating and forming The Band of Heathens in 2005[2]. The band's unique blend of rock, country, and blues quickly gained them a dedicated following.
