Monte Warden

Monte Warden is an acclaimed singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, known for his unique blend of rockabilly, honky-tonk, and blue-eyed soul. His musical journey began at the age of 15 when his rockabilly trio, Whoa Trigger!, won Best New Band at a local awards show. This early success set the stage for his next project, The Wagoneers, which he led and wrote all the material for. The Wagoneers quickly became a highly influential band, securing a major-label deal with A&M Records after performing at the first SXSW. Their debut album, Stout and High, received worldwide critical acclaim and is considered one of the best country albums of the 1980s.


In 1993, Warden launched his solo career with a self-titled album that was named one of the 100 best US albums of the 20th century by NME. He followed this with several more albums, including Here I Am (1995) and…
